Low book inventory

simplebookMy first book, “Grain Marketing is Simple (it’s just not easy)” was first offered for sale in early September, 2007. My colleagues and I at the Center for Farm Financial Management made a strategic decision NOT to offer the book through traditional distribution networks – that’s why you won’t find it at Amazon.com or Barnes & Noble. It can only be purchased on our website. We also had a lively debate over the number of copies to print, settling on a nice round number of 5,000 copies.

I am pleased to report that we have sold 90% of the printed copies in less than a 18 months – about 500 copies remain in inventory. We have no plans to print more copies, though I am toying with the idea of a second edition several years out. If you are still on the fence about buying a copy of my book, you might want to make a decision soon.

  1. I think the book is a great book and well worth anyone in the industry reading; I hope that you do decide to do a follow up book.
